St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

In 2016, AdvantaClean, the fastest-growing Light Environmental Services™ franchise, entered into a strategic partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in order to help the world understand, treat and defeat childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

AdvantaClean pledged to raise at least $100,000 in 2016 on behalf of St. Jude. To kick off fundraising efforts, the brand launched its “Give Five, Change Lives” initiative, which encourages customers to donate $5 for every job AdvantaClean performs. The brand instituted a number of local fundraising efforts to raise awareness through its network of more than 200 territories across the country, and hosted a golf tournament and other large-scale events.

“We are 100 percent committed to making a positive impact in our community and making a lasting difference in people’s lives. Through the Advantaclean Foundation, we’ve done countless pro-bono jobs over the years to help sick children recover in a clean, mold- and allergen-free home. Our core mission is to make a difference in people’s lives and this partnership is a natural next step that allows us to take our efforts to the national level and raise awareness of this important cause,” said AdvantaClean Founder and CEO Jeff Dudan.

AdvantaClean has performed charitable partnerships at the regional level since 2008. Franchisees have provided free services, such as mold removal and water damage restoration, as a way to give back to the communities they serve. Also, through partnerships with local hospitals, they have been able to provide free residential cleanup and repair services to families who have children with cancer and weakened immune systems.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center devoted solely to children. Treatments developed at St. Jude have helped increase the survival rate for childhood cancer from 20 percent to 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. Over the next decade, the hospital is working to increase that survival rate to 90 percent. Furthermore, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is bringing their child back home.
